The Giorgio’s restaurants were founded by the Sklavounos of Hellenic decent. The first Giorgio’s opened on January 22, 1996 and was a small Italian eatery run by the family of four. On July 5, 2001 they closed the small shop and opened an impressive upscale Giorgio’s Ristorante & Martini Bar in Merrimack, New Hampshire. Shortly after, the ambitious family opened another high-class establishment, the Giorgio’s Ristorante & Meze Bar in Milford, NH on September 30, 2006.
Today Giorgio’s has over 200 employees and features a diverse menu of Mediterranean and Italian cuisine. Currently each restaurant is run by the Sklavonous brothers: George Sklavonous oversees the Milford location and Costas Sklavonous oversees the Merrkimack location. Meanwhile parents Alex and Maria Sklavonous oversee the general operations of both restaurants.
The restaurants contain artwork, architecture, and artifacts chosen by the Sklavonous family and imported from Greece making for a truly authentic Mediterranean experience. Notably there is a waterfall that was built by Alex Sklavonous at the Milford location.
The scrumptious menu options are collaborative effort between Sklavonous family and their culinary team. This ensures a well balanced menu appealing to a wide range of taste buds and budgets. The restaurants also feature extensive wine lists and an award-winning martini menus. The energetic, friendly, and professional staff provide exceptional service guaranteeing an unforgettable experience.
